If your emotions could talk

Emotions aren't problems to fix, but messages about your very real human needs.

If your emotions could talk, here’s what they’d say:

  • Anger: Something needs to change.

  • Jealousy: There’s something you want, let it inspire you.

  • Guilt: You did something that doesn’t match your values.

  • Fear: Your strength is hiding, look closer

  • Shame: This part of you needs love and acceptance.

  • Frustration: You’re stuck, try a new way.

  • Sadness: Something mattered, and it’s gone. It’s time to grieve.

  • Overwhelm: You’ve taken on too much. Prioritize.

  • Hope: The future is still being written, keep going.

  • Curiosity: There’s something here worth exploring. Follow it.

  • Apathy: You’re disconnected from meaning. Reignite purpose.

  • Anxiety: You’re living in the future. Come back to the present and what you can control.

  • Love: This matters deeply. Protect it, nurture it.

The average emotion lasts 90 seconds. What lingers is just rumination.

While we can’t control how we feel, we can control what we do with that information.
