Transform the way your organization communicates.
With you, each other, and those you serve
Your Challenge
Every day, you’re dealing with egos, miscommunication, silos, information hoarding, internal politics, power plays, giving and receiving feedback, hidden agendas, misunderstandings, sloppy management, virtual communication, issue avoidance, fear of speaking up, and ineffective presentations.
The list goes on and on and on.
Everyone says, “communication is key,” but how many of us dive into what that actually means and take action to improve it?
We have helped organizations like the Gates Foundation, Google, the State of Maryland Department of Social Services, and the Loggerhead Marine Life Center increase productivity, engagement, and contentment at work, while reducing turnover, misunderstanding, and frustrations – all through better interpersonal and leadership communication.
- Dan Hartman, Gates Foundation
“With Dan’s help, our employee survey results show transformative gains — including a 27-point increase in manager-employee trust and a jump to 78% psychological safety.
Employees feel more energized, more included, and more connected to our mission. Communication training isn’t just a workshop — it’s driving measurable business performance.”
Our unique Organizational Transformation Program has radically transformed large and small organizations.
Create a culture where everyone is more able and willing to have open, honest, courageous conversations – about anything.
How Does It Help?
Healthy communication increases productivity by bonding people together, as humans. It can make you and your employees more productive and efficient, but perhaps more importantly, healthier and happier.
The Organizational Transformation Program can help your entire organization:
Effectively communicate across differences, silos, and disagreements
Passionately and respectfully disagree so the best ideas rise to the top
Commit to decisions, even ones people may disagree with
Create a culture of peer-to-peer accountability and direct, constructive feedback; and
Keep everyone focused on results, by putting their team’s needs ahead of their own.
We’ve had managers tell us, I’ve never given direct feedback before, and now I do it all the time.
More than one participant has said, This isn’t just for work. It’s going to change the way I speak with my kids/spouse.
Throughout the program, we watch organizations transform. It’s not hyperbole to say this work, improving the way everyone communicates, helps people do the best work of their lives.
How Does It Work?
Our Organizational Transformation Program starts with (of course) an open, honest conversation about defining your organization’s specific communications challenges and how to customize our methods for your culture. If you don’t know what your challenges or goals are, we’ll guide the conversation.
Next, we assess your organization’s communication challenges, from your employee’s perspective, so we have data.
Then, we will collaborate on a strategy and plan to deliver the right training to the right people at the right time. We will define what success looks like.
We deliver our fun, interactive, practice-based workshops, as well as coaching and facilitation, depending on your needs, people, and situation.
Throughout this ongoing process, we will reinforce the training, empower employees to use what they learned, and measure progress.
We will meet quarterly with you, to openly and honestly report back to you the challenges and successes we’re seeing, and strategize for the upcoming quarter.
Along the way, we’ll help you build the organizational capacity to make open communication the foundation of your culture. What is culture, if not the way we collaborate?
Through consistent, intentional effort, you’ll see your organization transform, open, communicate, collaborate, speak up, listen, and create amongst themselves a sense of belonging.
How Is It Different?
We don’t know of any other program quite like this, structured this way, with our record of success.
It’s different because we bring best-in-class methodologies (DiSC, 5 Behaviors, Working Genius, Crucial Conversations, etc.), to create inspiring and interactive engagements where teammates are learning from each other, bonding, and learning to speak their truth in a way that can be heard. We constantly measure to improve.
This is why we call our company Confident Communicators, LLC.
Who Is This For?
Organizations of all shapes and sizes come to us in three situations:
When a leader, perhaps a new leader, wants to clean the slate, start fresh, and reset the culture.
When a leader is already a good communicator and understands the value of communication training.
When there’s clear communication dysfunction – challenges such as silos, information hoarding, internal politics, power plays, giving and receiving feedback, sloppy management, virtual communication, issue avoidance, fear of speaking up, or ineffective cascading of messages.
Who This Is Not For?
Transforming the way your organization communicates requires two things: consistent ongoing effort and a leader willing to engage in the work themselves, right alongside their employees.
Why Is This Low Risk?
Our Organizational Transformation Program is a month-to-month, cancel anytime retainer. If you’re not seeing the impact, you can cancel anytime. We’re that confident that you won’t want to.
Well beyond our work together, you’ll have access to the CatalystTM e-learning platform, including the company directory of communication styles, is yours to keep, so people can continue using it to improve communication long after we’re gone.
We plan from day one to work ourselves out of a job, so that healthy communication becomes the fabric of your culture, and so your investment in a culture of open communication becomes self-driven and self-sufficient.
Here’s Why The Time Is Now
The pressure is on. You’re being asked to do more with less. Stress is high.
The American Workplace is evolving, and at a time when we are all struggling with uncertainty, hybrid work, 4 generations now in the workplace, and cultural differences, the solution is to help people speak to each other in healthy, productive ways.
Employees spend 7 hours a week dealing with the effects of poor communication and teamwork, equating to 2 full months each year, for each employee!
People aren’t taught how to communicate effectively, and the longer bad habits spread, the more stress, dysfunction, and waste compound.
What could be more important than communication to the way a group operates?
