Once you open your mouth, you tell the world who you are
Sep 27, 2023
What do you signal about yourself when you say:
- “I can’t do that” rather than “I chose not to do that because…”
- “I don’t have time” rather than “I have to work on this other high-priority project.”
- “Leave me alone” rather than “Give me a minute.”
- “Your work is bad” rather than “I think you can do better.”
- “It’s easy” rather than “You can do this”
- “That’s not my job” rather than “I can’t do this by myself.”
